WASHINGTON (AP) - The government is investigating another possible case of mad cow disease, the Agriculture Department said Wednesday.

Testing indicated the presence of the disease in a cow that died on the farm where it lived, said John Clifford, the department's chief veterinarian. The department would not say where the farm was. The cow was at least 12 years old and died of complications during calving, Clifford said.

(AP): The mother of a schoolgirl who died from the human form of mad cow disease warned yesterday that the condition was "a nightmare waiting to happen".

Claire McVey, 15, died on January 11 from variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease after months of illness. She is thought to be the youngest person to die from the disease which has so far killed 52 people in Britain.

So this girl had to catch it when she was 5?

CJD used to take decades to kill. Sufferers tended to be over 55. But CJD is changing. Now it kills the young. Can it be a coincidence that, in the last 10 years, we've eaten 1.5 million BSE-infected animals?

(AP): On Friday morning at 11 o'clock, 20-year-old Peter Hall was buried at Chester-le-Street Parish Church cemetery, near Sunderland, Co Durham. He was killed by Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease (CJD), the human equivalent of Mad Cow Disease (BSE). First striking him at 19, just 13 months ago, it made Peter Hall the fourth British teenager to succumb to the disease to date.

It doesn't even take 10 years to set in anymore...

(AP): Two others died last year-Stephen Churchill, at 19, and an un-named 17-year-old girl. The very first teenage CJD victim, Victoria Rimmer, 16 when she was diagnosed by live biopsy late in 1994, is still in a coma.

These are kids dying of it. Quick mothers! protect your children!

I Freak out at work about it. I'm like vCJD and everyone looks at me weird. Seriously, this is like the new aids or something. Also considering the fact that 13% of Alzheimers patients have been misdiagnosed. Me and my sister Nikki have this pact, that whoever catches mad cow disease first the other one has to kill them. Of course I'd rather be dead, than going into dementia, foaming at the mouth constantly having seizures with my picture posted all over CNN. If any of you fuckers in Beef Filled LJ land catch it first I'm selling your pictures.

Anyways though other than the mad cow frezny nothin has been happening. I keep thinking what if I catch it in the next few years. My dad said "If you've eaten beef in 30 years you can catch it, so fuck it." I'm like wow your a great doctor, I hope you talk to your patients that way. Anyways so I'm thinking if I haven't caught it yet why risk it? God I'm craving a hamburger as I type this. haha..

Saturday is Amanda's b-day, I have her gift. We still have to put her mom's together, set it up in her house. Friggin Armoire..I could kill her for buying it. I thought about asking my brother to put it together but he'd charge me more than what she paid for it. He's like I'm a poor college kid. help me. I'm like yeah join the club.

Oh I have to pay my full tuition. Evidently I am being screwd because my parents are college educated and make money, and because I'm single and under 24. Friggin govt bastards. (I can see them swarming my house in helicopters as soon as I click Update Journal). I'm pissed, they won't finance my college anymore and they've been covering up Mad cow. this also makes me wonder if they have a cure for AIDS which can't be released due to population control.
